Creamy Garlic Mushroom Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy mushroom sauce.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce coats the pasta evenly and everything is heated through.
  8. Serve the creamy garlic mushroom pasta hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley.
