Honey Balsamic Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, balsamic vinegar, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to make the glaze.
  2. Pat dry the salmon fillets with paper towels and season with a little salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the salmon fillets, reduce heat to medium, and pour the honey balsamic glaze over the fillets.
  6. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, basting the fillets with the glaze from the pan until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze has thickened.
  7. Remove the salmon from the skillet and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  8. Serve the honey balsamic glazed salmon hot with your choice of side dishes.
