Honey Soy Glazed Salmon with Sesame Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to make the glaze.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the salmon fillets with the honey soy glaze, reserving some for basting later.
  5. Roast the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Meanwhile, toss the asparagus with sesame oil, salt, and pepper on a separate baking sheet.
  7. Roast the asparagus in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
  8. Remove the salmon and asparagus from the oven. Brush the salmon with the remaining glaze and sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.
  9. Serve the honey soy glazed salmon with sesame asparagus and enjoy!
