Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
1 red chili, sliced (optional for extra heat)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a bowl, mix the sliced chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sugar. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
Add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
Add marinated chicken and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
Push the chicken to one side of the wok, and add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
Combine everything in the wok, add fresh basil leaves and red chili slices (if using). Stir well to combine.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the basil leaves are wilted.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
